The qualifying round started today, the winner of which will play in Superleague in the next season. the series will last until 3 victories. Cactus (9th place in the regular championship) and CIU (finalist of A League) are playing against each other.
The first match was held at Olympic Palace. It finished with the advantage and victory of Cactus. The team trained by Archil Jghenti won the first period 25:13 after which they didn’t give up leadership and eventually went to the victory. Cactus won 75:66. Giorgi Turdziladze led the winners by 20 points. Nicholas Neal scored 16 points. Delano Spencer had 15 points. Andre Walker was the most effective with 16 points and 12 rebounds in CIU. Nika Metskhvarishvili collected 14 points.
Another match of the series will be held on April 25, 15:00. The third one is planned on April 27, 13:00.
