Regional Development Program Continues In Rustavi and Telavi
Regional Development Program organized by Georgian Basketball Federation’s Regional Development Department and the FIBA Youth Development Fund continues in 3 regions of Georgia. This time, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Vice President of the Georgian Basketball Federation, Shalva Oniani, Head of Regional Development Department, visited Rustavi and Telavi, and brought different kinds of basketball equipment there.
Firstly Representatives of Basketball federation visited Rustavi and held meeting with president of Kvemo Krtli Federation Mikheil Beruashvili, executive director of basketball club Rustavi 1991 Giorgi Maglaperidze, and youth teams manager Vaja Kvijinadze. Local Federation received different kinds of basketball equipment including playing jerseys, rims and special glasses for dribbling. Special whistles, boards were given to coaches.
Our Representatives visited Telavi afterwards, where necessary equipment for basketball development was also brought. President of Kakhetian Basketball Federation, Soso Iagorashvili, President of sport club “Telavi” Papuna Khrikuli, famous Georgian coach Iankoshvili and his colleagues met with our representatives.
Regions Development fund program was first launched few years ago and Federation representative have visited whole country. Our team has paid visits to some of the regions for 3rd time already. Telavi, which has already received modern score board in including them. Since then Telavi is hosting games of Georgian youth championship without any hesitation. Supporting regions and providing all kinds of sport equipment will continue in near future.
