Oni and Ambrolauri have also received scoreboards and shooting practice machines as part of the program.

After visiting the Imereti, Samegrelo, and Kakheti regions in May–June, representatives of the Regional Development Department of the Georgian Basketball Federation visited Racha, where they once again delivered basketball equipment as part of their ongoing initiative. The Federation’s Vice President, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Head of the Regional Development Department, Shalva Oniani, and their team traveled to Ambrolauri and Oni, bringing essential basketball gear and devices needed for the development and promotion of the sport.

This program is implemented by the Regional Development Department in cooperation with FIBA’s special fund. The FIBA Youth Development Fund (YDF) finances projects with this specific purpose, enabling the department to purchase all types of basketball equipment for Georgia’s regions — from uniforms to modern scoreboards and shooting practice machines. Within the framework of this program, every region of Georgia has already received the necessary inventory multiple times, and the process continues to progress successfully.

The Georgian Basketball Federation maintains close cooperation with the regional basketball federations, to which it provides all types of basketball inventory. These federations, in turn, distribute the equipment across cities and villages within their regions where basketball programs are active. This time, the Racha-Lechkhumi region received new equipment. Most of the inventory was delivered to Ambrolauri, from where it will be distributed throughout the region.

After Ambrolauri, the Regional Development Department’s basketball caravan continued to Oni, where they delivered a modern scoreboard and a shooting practice machine. The guests were warmly welcomed in Oni. Representatives of the local government showed strong interest in basketball and assured the Federation that they would fully support the development and popularization of the sport within their capabilities.
