Batumi arrived in Imereti and lost 68:88 without any chances. Much more tense match was held in Rustavi. Cactus defeated Rustavians by 5 points difference – 81:76.
The meeting in Rustavi was a chance for both teams to escape from the last place. Cactus and Rustavi are the two distinctive outsiders of the current Super League. They both had one victory prior to this match.
Rustavians were leading almost throughout the game, but Cactus did not give up and fought to the end. In the final quarter, Rustavians were winning by 5 points, but they couldn’t maintained this advantage and eventually lost with 5 points.
Giorgi Turdziladze, which was raised by the basketball club of Rustavi, led the winners with 20 points and 19 rebounds. Delano Spencer scored 21 points and 10 rebounds. Nicholas Neal had 16 points. Isaak Banks was the most effective with 16 points and 13 rebounds in Rustavi. Darryl Bryant scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assist.
