The second round of Basketball Super League was opened in Batumi today, where Cactus went to play against the local team. Both teams won the first round matches: Batumi beat Rustavi and Cactus defeated Olimpi.
The match held in Batumi Sport School, took place before many viewers and they didn’t regret it. Teams suggested very interesting fight, where the winner was revealed at the last minute. The hosts won the starting period by 1 point, but then they gained 10-points leadership. However, Cactus was still fighting whole game and they managed to equalize the score in the final period. Cactus reduced the difference to 2 points. But, eventually, Nodar Gogodze and Sean Hill scored very important balls, which gained them a victory – 89:85.
Nodar Gogodze and Sean Hill led the winners with 24 and 16 points respectively. Stefan Andrejevic had a double-double – 14 points and 13 rebounds. Brian Glasford and Jalen MC Gaughy from Batumi scored 18-18 points each. Beqa Chikviladze had 17 points.
Remaining 4 matches of the second round of Super League will be held on November 17 at Tbilisi Olympic Palace.
