12th tour of the Superleague started today in Batumi. Adjarian team, which was on the 9th place, is fighting to stay in the Superleague. Accordingly, all matches are of great importance for them. Olimpi visited Batumi this time – Olimpi had 6 victories after 11 tours and felt comfortable in the upper part of the standings.

match turned out quite interesting, spectacular and tense. Fans saw a real fight. Eventually, Batumians celebrated their team’s victory, which was losing by 16-points in the second period and by 10 points before the big break – 33:43.

The team trained by Gia Kazanjian played perfectly in the second half. All players did their best. They won the third quarter with 10-points difference 20:10 and equalized the score before the final period.

The fate of the match was decided in the last period in favour of the hosts. American guard – Kasey Shepherd scored triple –double. It’s also worth mentioning that Batumian players played a teamgame, which helped them to stop Olimpians.

Adjarian team won 69:61 eventually and improved its tournament status. Batumi cought up with MIA Academy – Titebi and Cactus with 4 victories. Although, these teams have to play 12th tour matches on March 9th.

Spencer Collins led the winners with 18 points, however, the most effective player was Kasey Shepherd – 10 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. Stefan Andrejevic scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Dejan Jeftic collected 12 points and 7 rebounds. Reggie Baker and Mark Ogden were the most effective in Olimpi with 13-13 points each. The latter had 12 rebounds as well.

Remaining 4 matches of the 12rh tour will be held on March 9, at Tbilisi Olimpic Palace.
