Another match of 15th tour is over. It was hosted by Batumi, where local team, trained by Gia Kazanjian, met TSU-Hyundai and defeated them – 82:71.
3 tours before, Batumi was on the 9th place in front of a real danger to leave the Superleague, however, they won the last two matches and improved their position significantly. Batumi is now on the 7th place after winning over Delta last week and TSU-Hyundai today.
Owing to the position in the standings, TSU-Hyundai was considered to be Favourite on today’s match, but Batumi gained a leadership from the very beginning and remained it until the end. Eventually, they won a convincing victory.
Although Batumi lacked 2 leading players – Nodar Gogodze and Dejan Jeftic, Kasey Shepherd was on a high level gaining 28 points, 7 assists, 6 steals and 5 rebounds. His efficiency is 40, which is the second highest result (after Mark Ogden’s 46). Stefan Andrejevic scored 19 points and 10 rebounds. Levan Eliadze has 11 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus Posley was the most effective with 18 points in TSU-Hyundai. Victor Nickerson scored 16 points. Giorgi Korsantia collected 7 points and 17 rebounds.
The final match of 15th tour will be held on March 29: Rustavi will host Mgzavrebi.
