Delta defeated TSU-Hyundai 79:72

7th round of the Super League started today. Delta and TSU-Hyundai played at the Olympic Palace. One of the leaders, TSU-Hyundai had quite a weak match and lost its 2nd game during the current championship. On the other hand, Delta gained 4th victory and advanced in the standings. Let us remind you that one match of previous round delayed due to mutual agreement of the teams – Delta and MIA Academy – Titebi.

Delta started playing very quckly and productively, gaining 13-points advantage in the first period – 25:12. After which, they increased the leadership to 16 points for the big break – 43:27. Nikoloz Cherqezishvili took one-minute breaks several times, however, wasn’t able to improve the quality of his team’s game. Delta’s leadership was more than 20 points in the third period, which almost meant the victory. TSU-Hyundai managed to reduce the difference to 5 points in the final period, but it didn’t turn out to be enogh for winning.

Eventually, Delta won 79:72. Beqa Beqauri led the winners with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Artem Shvets scored 13 points. Otar Pkhakadze had 12 points. American debutant – Benjamin Vozzola was the most effective with 16 points in TSU-Hyundai. James Milliken scored 12 points.
