The six-round match of the Superleague was held in Tbilisi Olympic Palace. The match of MIA Academy and Delta was postponed in December and it was held today. There was a one-point difference between these teams in favor of Delta prior to this game. Delta has also won today’s match convincingly, gained its 5th victory in the current Superleague and took 4th place in the standings.
The match started equally. The score was 24:24 after the first quarter. However, Delta changed its playing tactics after the first half and advanced by fast attacks and good defensive game. After winning the second period 26:17, Delta went to the big break with 9-points leadership. They managed to increase this number even more in the third quarter, which was won 16:13, and as for the last period, this difference increased to 20 points and the last minutes lost the meaning.
Bench players continued the match and eventually, Delta won by 18 points – 90:72. Beqa Beqauri led the winners with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Otar Pkhakadze scored 15 points (4/4 three-pointers). Drumwright had 13 points. Beso Lezhava was the most effective with 16 points in Titebi.Giorgi Sharabidze collected 14 points and 8 rebounds.
