The 17th tour of the Superleague, which revealed lots of things, is already over. Delta and Dinamo met each other in the final match, which ended in favor of Leqso Lapanashvili’s team. Delta guaranteed finishing regular championship on the third place. They won by 22 points and gained advantage over Dinamo. Which means, there is a 1-point difference between these teams.
Delta played distinctively both in defense and offense. They were leading in all components, which didn’t leave chance for Dinamo. The member of the national team – Mikheil Chochua was lacking because of an injury, however, other members of the team did their best to win, but couldn’t beat the rivals. Delta reached 20-points advantage in the last period and all was decided here. It’s noteworthy that Delta’s players broke the record of this season by scoring 18/36 three-pointers. The previous record was owned by Kutaisi (16 three-pointers).
Eventually, Lapanashvili’s team won 99:77, which brought them third place in the regular championship. Beqa Beqauri led the winners with 29 points. Malcolm Drumwright scored 16 points. Saba Lobjanidze and Eric Nottage had 14-14 points each. Jordan Swopshire was the most effective with 23 points in Dinamo. Demagoj Bubalo scored 19 points.
The final tour of the Superleague will be held on April 18, 19 and 20 in Rustavi, Kutaisi and Tbilisi respectively.
