The 24th tour and the third round of the Super League ended in Batumi. Which means, that the 3/4 of the regular championship has passed. Every team has equal number of games and one round is left, which means, that each team will meet each opponent once more – every team will have 8 more matches and regular championship will be completed. After that, the best 8 teams will play in the playoffs.
The current champion – Dinamo visited Batumi, won the second period 27:21 and gained a solid leadership before the big break – 46:36. The Adjarian team did not give up easily, they won the third period 26:18 and managed to advance in the final quarter, but it wasn’t enough. Eventually, Dinamo gained a victory – 83:80 and retained the second place with Rustavi.
Ilia Londaridze led the winners with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Nodar Gogodze accumulated 14 points, Raven Lee and Lavell Boyd scored 12-12 points each. Stefan Andrejevic was the most effective with 13 points and 8 rebounds in Batumi. Eric Childress became the top scorer with 14 points.
The final, 4th round will begin on March 28. On this day, 3 matches of the 25th tour will be held in tbilisi and Kutaisi will play in Batumi on March 29.
