Today’s Super League matches ended with an interesting duel. Titebi and Tskhum-Apkhazeti, the teams, which are side by side in the standings, met each other. Both teams had 4 wins with 6 losses and this match had to decide which of them would advance to the standings.
The victory, which was quite convincing, was gained by Titebi, which was quite unexpected due to the tournament situation – 86:75 (Statistics). The most important factor in the victory was the rookie of Titebi Chris McNeill, who scored 6 three-pointers and a total of 29 points, thus depriving Tskhum-Apkhazeti with a chance of success. After losing by 3 points in the first period, Titebi won the second quarter 29:21, and then they increased the lead to 15 points after a big break. The meeting ended in such a way that the situation on the court did not become tense. Tskhum-Apkhazeti’s maximum was a reduction of the difference to 7 points, which was followed by a three-pointer by Isaac Asrat and the fate of the match was determined.
