15th tour of the Superleague is over. Outsider of the championship – Rustavi hosted Mgzavrebi and lost without chances, which killed their hopes to stay in League. They should win remaining 3 matches, among which, they should defeat Cactus by minimum 6 points to remain any chances.
Mgzavrebi was dominating in today’s match. Buba Berishvili’s team won the first period – 29:11 and increased the advantage to 20 points before the big break – 49:29.
The fate of the match was decided in the third period, when Mgzavrebi’s leadership reached 30 points. Eventually, Tbilisians defeated Rustavi 91:71 and took the 2nd place in the standings together with Dinamo. Both these teams have 10 victories and 5 loses.
Kakha Jintcharadze and Prince Williams led the winners with 25-25 points each. Jacob Armstrong collected 15 points. Adrian Bowie had 13. Ahmed Moawad was the most effective with 23 points in Mgzavrebi. Levan Gogaladze scored 15 points.
16th tour of the Superleague will be held on April 5 and 6 in Kutaisi and Tbilisi.
