Tbilisi Olympic Palace hosts the last 2 matches of the 20th round of the Super League. The equal rivals – Mgzavrebi and Delta met each other today. But the fight, that the audience was waiting for, was not held. Mgzavrebi won quite easily 94:79 and gained the advantage with the lost points.
The team trained by Buba Berishvili took a convincing leadership in the first period. With the lead of Kakha jintcharadze, Bernard Nkal, Adrian Bowie and Taylor Stafford, they won the first quarter 31:16. The situation hasn’t changed before the big break. Mgzavrebi had 13-point advantage, then, in the third period, they increased the difference to 20 points and the fate of the game was already decided.
Delta won the last period 24:18, but eventually lost the game with the big difference. Kakha jintcharadze led the winners with 25 points. Bernard Nkal scored 16 points. Davit Barbaqadze had 15 points. Nicholas Neal was the most effective with 16 points in Delta, Deondre Ray scored 13 points.
