Olimpi defeated Titebi at the last minute – 86:83

11th round matches of the Superleague ended with a quite tense meeting between Olimpi and MIA Academy-Titebi in Tbilisi. The match was quick and equal, as neither of the teams could manage to advance significantly. The fate of the game was decided at the last minute in favour of Olimpi. The team trained by Dimitri Jakobov won 86:83.

Titebi won the first period – 23:21 and even increased the difference in the second quarter. Lasha Gamyrelidze’s team was fighting really well both in defense and offense and gained 7-points leadership before the big break.

Olimpi tied the game from the third period. The score became equal at first and then, Jakobov’s team advanced winning the third quarter 26:16. Game continued equally after that and everything was depended on one attack. Ransom from Titebi missed the decisive ball, Zac Tillman cought it and assisted to Charles Bennett who scored 2/2 free-throws and Titebi didn’t have enough time to equalize the score.

Mark Ogden led the winners with 21 points. Charles Bennett scored 18 points. Revaz Rogava collected 17 points, 8 assists and 7 steals. Kashim Ransom and Joel Almeida were the most effective in Titebi with 21-21 points each. The latter scored 10 rebounds as well and had the only double-double of the match. Ilia Londaridze collected 20 points and 8 rebounds.

11th round of the Superleague will end up tomorrow in Rustavi, where Delta will arrive.
