14th tour of the basketball Superleague has started today with a match between TSU-Hyundai and Olimpi, who are close to each other in the standings. TSU-Hyundai was ahead by 1 point which was an additional motivation for both teams.
The fate of the match didn’t become clear neither in main time nor in additional. 40 minutes of extremely tense match ended equally – 76:76. The first overtime was over with 8:8, so the winner was still unrevealed.
All was decided at the end of second overtime. Owing to the mistakes of TSU, Olimpi managed to score very important balls, played defensive game and gained a significant victory – 97:94.
Charles Bennett led the winners with 28 points and 9 assists, he scored 7/14 three-pointers. Revaz Rogava collected 20 points. James Milliken was the most effective with 25 points in TSU-Hyundai. Giorgi Korsantia had 17 points. Alexandre Pevadze and Victor Nickerson scored 13-13 points each.
Remaining matches of the 14th tour will be held on March 22, 23 and 24.
