Kutaisi defeated Dinamo and finished the first circle in the first place

The last round of 2021 and the first circle of the Super League started today with one match. All five matches of the 10th round will be held at the Tbilisi Olympic Palace, today the arena was dedicated to the first place-holder Kutaisi and the last – Dinamo. The result was logical. The leader defeated the outsider 84:82 (Statistics) and closed the first circle and 2021 in the first place.

As it can be seen from the score, Kutaisi did not win easily. In the last period, Dinamo was even leading by 3 points (69-66) and Kutaisi was on the verge of the second defeat in the championship. Kutaisi players showed strength and the character of a leader in the decisive moment. The team coached by Kote Tughushi played successfully in the last minutes – Adrian Bowie, Giorgi Barbakadze and Giorgi Korsantia scored promoting balls and the fate of the match was determined.

Korsantia showed the best result in Kutaisi, scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Adrian Bowie collected 22 points. Jarvis Ray had 17 points and 7 rebounds. Vova Tavakarashvili was the most effective in Dinamo with 21 points. Levan Gogaladze had 16 points. 

The remaining 4 matches of the last round of the year will be held tomorrow, December 29, at the Olympic Palace.
