Kutaisi defeated Batumi and is in the 2nd place in the Super League with all three victories

The 4th round of the basketball super league was opened in Kutaisi. Imereti and Adjara teams met in the regional match. Kutaisi coached by Kote Tughushi defeated Buba Berishvili’s Batumi 92:82 (Statistics) and retains the status of the undefeated team in the Super League.

Kutaisi played the Super Cup in the first round and therefore the match with Batumi was the third in the Super League for them. The hosts won easily. It is true that Batumi followed the opponent at a distance and kept the chance of success, but the match ended in such a way that the hosts did not give them a chance to win.

Kutaisi won the first period 27:21, and at the end of the second period the advantage increased to 11 points. There was no interesting fight in the second half. Batumi could not get to the opponent closer than 10 points and the match ended with this difference.

Giorgi Korsantia led the winners with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Adrian Bowie scored 15 points and 3 steals. Jarvis Ray had 12 points. Isaiah Traylor became a top-scorer in Batumi with 19 points. Beqa Beqauri, however, had the best result – 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. 

Batumi has 1 win from 4 matches, and Kutaisi is undefeated in 3 matches.
