Rustavi defeated Mgzavrebi today in a very tense battle 75:72 and gained its first victory in the SuperLeague.
The fate of the meeting was revealed at the last minute of the match, before that Mgzavrebi was leading almost throughout the match. The match was going on with a transitional advantage. The first quarter was won by the hosts, the second – by Rustavians, and then the hosts again. They won 25:14 before the third period and then, gained 6-points advantage before the final quarter – 62:56.
Rustavians showed more fighting capabilities and accuracy in the final period. It is noteworthy that their American legionaries – Dariel Bryant, Ahmed Hamdi and Kendarrius Hamilton played a very effective game. Bryant led the winners with 21 points. Ahmed Hamdi scored 16 points and 10 rebounds. Kendarrius Hamilton and Isaak Banks had 15-15 points each.
The third match of the 6th round was held in Kutaisi today, where local team won against Cactus 93:84. Another meeting of the 6th round, where Dinamo will play against Olimp will be held on December 20 at the Tbilisi Olympic Palace.
