The current leader of the Super League – Kutaisi hosted Rustavi, which is on the second place and defeated with 8 points – 76:68. As you can see, there was no big difference, but the fate of the match was decided in the third period. After the first equal quarter, the hosts took the full advantage and after winning the second period 26:13 and the third period 22:12, they advanced with 24 points.
Rustavi players tried their best in the remaining period, but they could only manage to reduce the difference. The guests won the last period 25:9 and eventually, lost the game with 8 points only.
