5th round of the Superleague started with the victory of Batumi and Tskhum-Apkhazeti

5th round of the Superleague started today in regions. Matches held in Kutaisi and Batumi finished with interesting results. Kutaisi, which defeated Rustavi previously, hosted one of the outsiders of the current Superleague – Tskhum-Apkhazeti and lost with them 63:74. As for Batumi, the hosts beat Vera in a very tense battle in overtime.

After which they achieved 16-points advantage and he fate of the match was decided here. The best thing Kutaisi could do was reducing the difference to 11 points. eventually, Tskhum-Apkhazeti gained its second victory.

Kwan Waller led the winners with 20 points. Deonta Franklin and Justin Bogle scored 11-11 points each. James Milliken was the most effective with 23 points in Kutaisi. Shawn Roundtree collected 15 points.

There was an overtime in the match held in Batumi. Adjarian team hosted Vera and defeated in a very tense 45-minutes battle -82:79. The winner couldn’t reveal in such an equal and tense match in maintime. Collin Malcolm led the winners with 21 points and 12 reouns. Nikola Vujovic scored 26 points and 7 rebounds. Vakhtang Qadaria was the most effective with 18 points and 9 rebounds in Vera. Brandon Slay had 21 points.
