Rustavians defeated one of the leaders – Batumi in the previous round and were planning to beat TSU today, but Leqso Lapanashvili’s team didn’t give them this chance. TSU was leading in almost all components. Maximum, that was done by Rustavians was that they reduced the difference to 4 points in the third quarter.

Tbilisians advanced 10:0 in the beginning and won the first period 23:10. TSU showed a balanced game both in long-range and under the reem, however, the most effective tactic was fast attacks. The guests weren’t able to catch up with the rivals and their achievement of reducing the difference to 4 points was at the expense of individual players.

TSU’s coach took a minute-break and give his players some important directions, the team was successful to fulfill them. TSU was winning 60:52 before the final quarter and after advancing 9:0, they almost decided the fate of the match. Rustavi tried its best, however, they never had a real chance to save the game. TSU convincingly went to the 6th victory of the current season and strengthened its leadership – 6 victories, 2 losses.

5 players of the winner team reached 10 points. Giorgi Turdziladze became a top scorer with 14 points. Chris Anderson scored 12 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds.Riky Madison collected 12 points. Giorgi Korsantia lacked one rebound for a double-double – 10 points, 9 rebounds. Ilia Londaridze and Denzel Livingston were the most effective in Rustavi with 12-12 points each.

Olimpi will meet Titebi in the second match planned today.
