Georgian U16 Team Will Start Competing At U16 European Championship Today
On August 11th FIBA U16 European Championship (“B” Division) will take place in Sofia. 22 youth teams including our country will participate in tournament which appears to be last youth championship of the season. Georgians have chance to be among 3 prize winner teams and promote to elite “A” Division.
Roster of team coached by Irakli Cherkezishvili and Dimitri Jakobov is look like following:
Luka Mujirishvili, Nikoloz Abuladze, Ioseb Gugutsidze, Nikoloz Puturidze, Nikoloz Gurgenidze, Aleksandre Daushvili, Avtandil Bakhtadze, Bachana Shvelidze, Temuri Kapanadze, Gogita Bukia, Guram Tskhadadze, Luka Barbakadze.
Georgian team will compete in Group A.

2 best teams will qualify to playoff round and continue fight for prize winner places. Group A coincides with Group B and in any case scenario our team will have to face members of pool “B”, which are: Czechia, Switzerland, Iceland, Luxembourg and Bulgaria
