Georgian U16 team is preparing for European Championship, which will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, during 11-20 August. Our future opponents are Estonia, Hungary, Cyprus and Belgium.
Team coached by Irakli Cherkezishvili and Dimitri Jakobov is in Latvia for training camp. U16 team held another sparring game against Latvians and won in tense battle with 81:78. Before last quarter, Georgians were loosing 9 points but our team fought till the end and won last 10 minutes by 23:11;
Gogita Bukia, with 29 points and 12 rebounds was most vulnerable player in our team. 24 points were scored by Avto Bakhtadze, Nikoloz Abuladze contributed 14 points.
We remind you that Georgians held first sparring match against Estonians and defeated them by 79:60.
