Georgian U18 team lost with Estonia at the last seconds

Georgian U18 team finished training match series. The team trained by Temur Kankia held a friendly match with Estonia today and lost it by 3 points 54:57. 

Estonians were leading almost throughout the game, but Georgians managed to equalize the score in the final quarter at the last minutes. however, our guests’ final attack turned out accurate and they gained victory tjanks to a long range shoot. 

Anzor Nadiradze was the most effective with 15 points and 8 rebounds in Georgian team. Dachi Qavtaradze and Irakli Kiladze scored 11-11 points each. Our team returned to Latvia from Estonia and will go to Romania on July 23, where European Championship (B division) starts on July 26. 

24 teams will participate in the tournament, they will be divided into 4 groups. Georgia was drawn in a group with Ireland, Denmark, Ukraine, Slovakia and North Macedonia. 

 According to the format of the competition, 2 best teams from each group will upgrade in quarterfinals. Just as in every under-age European championships, the best three teams will get an elite, A division tickets.
