The basketball season in Georgia opened today, on October 7, with the Dudu Dadiani Memorial. The tournament in memory of the former vice-president of the Basketball Federation has been held since 2002 and 9 Super League teams are participating in it this year.
After the first match of the Dudu Dadiani Memorial, the presentation of the annual magazine of the Georgian Basketball National Federation was held at the New Olympic Palace.
This edition brings together the events organized and supported by the Federation. The publication of the 2019-2020 season magazine was scheduled for last spring, but failed due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic.
A memorandum was signed at the Olympic Palace with the General Sponsor of the Georgian Basketball National Federation, the company “Adjarabet”.
The document was signed by Nini Gujabidze, Head of the Public Relations Department of Adjarabet and Paata Guraspauli, President of the Basketball Federation.
According to the memorandum, Adjarabet will provide general sponsorship to the Basketball National Federation for the 2020-2022 basketball seasons and the 2022 European Championship.
Members of the Georgian national team, heads of Super League clubs and media representatives attended the event.
