Debutant Titebi opened the Super League by defeating the current champion

The debutant of the Super League – MIA Academy-Titebi started season well. Davit Ustiashvili’s team has recently played in Dudu Dadiani finals and today he started with defeating Super League champion Dinamo.

Titebi played a team game. Team members were mobilized both in defense and offense.  After an equal 5 minutes,  MIA Academy took possession of the match and achieved a seven-point advantage over the end of the period – 23:16. Dinamo tried in the second period but failed to correct the situation. Titebi’s players were shooting precisely from the back row and Ilia Londaridze was active under the shield.

The second period was a turning point in the match. MIA Academy-Titebi won the period 22:8 and gained 21-points advantage before the big break. Dinamo had time to save the game, however, they didn’t manage it.

Titebi did no longer spend energy in the final period, but they got to the victory peacefully. Daniel Upchurch led the winners with 22 points. Ilia Londaridze scored 15 points and 10 rebounds. Joel Almeida collected 13 points. Demagoj Bubalo was the most effective with 23 points and 16 rebounds in Dinamo. Reger Dowell collected 11 points.
