The next match of the Super League was held in Batumi, where Mgzavrebi went to play. In the final minutes, after the dignified resistance, they lost 70:78.
Batumi started the championship productively, but after several unexpected defeats, they’re trying to improve the position in the standings, so today’s match was very important. Team trained by Vladimer Bosniak had a huge support from fans and they didn’t disappoint their hopes. Batumians played very productively in the decisive period and gained their 7th victory.
Mgzavrebi, trained by Buba Berishvili, played pretty well and thanks to the team game, they managed to gain 14 points advance- 44:30 at the end of the second period. But in the 2nd half Batumi returned in the playground more effectively and they lost the 3rd period with only 2 points difference – 56:54.
The hosts managed to win with 7 points in the last minutes. Spencer Collins led the winners with double double – 25 points and 10 rebounds. Illya Shemosyuk scored 13 ponts, Leonid Stefanyshyn had 12 points. Avtandil Lominashvili became the top scorer in Mgzavrebi, he had 16 points, Davit Barbaqadze scored 15 points, Kakhaber Jintcharadze and Adrian Bowie scored 12-12 points each.
The next matches of the Super League will be held on December 30th, at the Tbilisi Olimpic Palace.
