The 25th tour of the Super League finished in Batumi. The leader – Kutaisi visited Adjara and lost with 19 points – 60:79. The strange atmosphere in the hall didn’t affect on the Batumians. They won with a huge difference.
Most of the match went equal. The hosts were in the lead but they could not manage to increase the difference. After the first half Batumians had 8-points advantage, but Kutaisi reduced the difference to 3 points before the final period. That’s when the decisive battle was to be held in the last quarter, the game ended with a great advantage of the hosts. Batumi won the final period 22:6 and finished the match with a convincing victory.
Leonid Stefanyshyn (16 points, 8 rebounds) and Spencer Collins (18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) led the winners. Eric Chilldress scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Jonathan Lee was the most effective with 19 points in Kutaisi. Akaki Dvalishvili accumulated 15 points.
Let us remind you, that the matches scheduled for March 31 were postponed. The remaining 2 matches of the tour will be held in Kutaisi and Rustavi on April 1 and April 2.
