Quarterfinal series was opened between Delta and Olimpi. Delta, which took the 3rd place in the regular championship playes against Olimpi – 6th place. The series will last until three victories.
This match started with Delta’s advantage. The team trained by Leqso Lapanashvili won the first period 18:10 and increased this difference to 30:10 in the second one. Despite this situation, Olimpi didn’t give up and tried to tie the game. Dimitri Jakobov’s team reduced the difference to 9 points before the big break and equalized the game in the third period. However, they couldn’t bring it to the end.
Delta kept leadership until the final siren and won 69:60. Malcolm Drumwright led the winners with 15 points. Gegi Baqradze scored 12 points. Saba Lobjanidze collected 7 points and 12 rebounds. Revaz Rogava was the most effective with 17 points in Olimpi. Mark Ogden scored 10 points and 13 rebounds.
