Dinamo beats Kutaisi 84:83

The most tense match of the 8th round so far was held between Dinamo and Kutaisi. The fate of the winner was defided 2 seconds before the final siren at Tbilisi Olympic Palace. Kutaisi’s Serbian centre – Milos Pajovic scored 1 out of two free-throws, which already meant defeat as Dinamo was winning 84:83. When Luka Bulashvili rebounded Pajovic’s missed ball, the time was up. Dinamo won by 1 point, however, they were 17-points ahead 46:29 in the second period.

Kutaisians analyzed their mistakes on the big break and returned more mobilized, taking iniciative by themselves. Imeretian club fit their game to Serbian Legionnaire – Milos Pajovic, who was active in a three-second zone. James Milliken, Shawn Roundtree and Beqa Beqauri was helping him with assists. Milliken was also very effective in long-range shots and all this conditioned Kutaisi’s success: initially, they reduced the difference (63:64) and then advanced in the beginning of the fourth period.

An equal fight took place in the decisive quarter. Dinamo advanced by 7 points – 82:75 after the effective offenses of Kavin O’brian and Tyler Williams. 75 seconds were left before the end and it seemed that the fate of the match was already decided, but with thre three-pointer and tactical fouls of Milliken, Kutaisi gained a real opportunity to equalize the score at the last seconds. As we’ve already mentioned, Pajovic scored just one out of two free-throws and Dinamo won.

Kavin O’brian led Tbilisian team with 20 points. Tyler Williams collected 17 points and 7 rebounds. Luka Bulashvili scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. James Milliken was the most effective with 28 points in Kutaisi. Milos Pajovic scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Shawn Roundtree and Beqa Beqauri had 11-11 points each.
