Super League has 2 leaders now. Rustavi, together with Cactus, with 3 out of 3 victories is in the top of the standings. Team coached by Irakli Khoshtaria successfully continued their winning streak and today, convincingly beat TSU – 83:74 (Statistics).
This season, Cactus has assembled a solid team. Myles Daniels scored 31 points. Team performed at high level in both, attack and defense and clearly outplayed the opponent. Even though the university team won the first quarter by 22:18 and was taking the lead before the break they could not resist Cactus.
Irakli Khoshtaria’s tactics cut through – good defense and quick counterattacks. Cactus won the third period by 21:15 and increased the difference to 15 points in the fourth quarter. Lekso Lafanashvili tried to affect the situation. He took time outs and made tactical amendments, however could not save the game.
Ryan Allen scored 15 points, and Maizer Revazashvili collected 12 points for his former team. In TSU, Nikoloz Darbaidze contributed 20 points, while Giorgi Tsintsadze was on the verge of a triple double – 14 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists.
