Super League regular season is over: Titebi lost in Kutaisi and TSU filled the playoffs

TSU is in the playoffs. The State University team finished the regular season on April 15, after which it became dependent on the results of competitors. In the games of the last round, the events developed in such a way that the seemingly hopeless TSU reached the playoffs. The key match was held in Kutaisi today, where Titebi coached by Manuchar Markoishvili arrived to play, the victory would bring a playoff ticket to them. 

In terms of tournament, this match didn’t have a meaning for Kutaisi. The team coached by Kote Tughushi was in second place and despite the result of this match, they would finish the regular season in this place. The playoff rival of Kutaisi is also known – Dinamo Tbilisi.

Titebi have not reached the playoffs and will not have to fight to maintain their place in the Super League either. The season is over for Markoishvili’s team. While Batumi, which took the 10th place, will have to play qualifier series with the team that lost in the final of A League. 

The last match remaining in the regular championship was held in Rustavi. Qvemo Qartli team coached by Anatoli Boisa had won the first place of the regular season 3 rounds ago. Today’s match did not have a tournament significance for its rival, Tskhum-Apkhazeti either.
