Tskhum-Apkhazeti's convincing victory against Dinamo

The 5th round of the Super League ended with a 30-point match. It was with this difference that Tskhum-Apkhazeti defeated Dinamo and strengthened its position in the standings. There are 3 teams in the current championship, which have only 1 loss and one of them is Tskhum-Apkhazeti, and the only undefeated team is Kutaisi.

The last match of this round did not lack speed and scores, but we cannot say that about the tension. Dinamo coached by Jolivet Toudjan was trying to resist the opponent from the beginning, but – only in the first half. Tskhumi was winning by 12 points before the big break and it was already an important advantage, however, in the third period, the team coached by Irakli Dzidziguri was guaranteed to win thanks to a team game and effectiveness. The leadership of Tskhumi exceeded 20 points and Dinamo had neither the time nor the strength to change the situation. 

Luka Maziashvili was distinguished in Tskhum-Apkhazeti, who was playing the ball wisely. Eventually, he became the most productive player together with his teammate Levan Maskhulia. Both of them had 23-23 points. Giorgi Sharabidze scored 17 points, Alex Peacock had the only double-double in the match (10 points, 10 rebounds). Dante Thompson was the most effective in Dinamo with 16 points. Vova Tavakarashvili had 12 points.

Dinamo has only 1 victory out of 5 matches and is among the outsiders. The next round matches will be held on November 18 and 19 in Kutaisi, Batumi, Tbilisi and Rustavi.
