U18 National Team series is over in Batumi. The last meeting was held between Georgia and Israel. the Jews won the match convincingly – 94:63. Our team was missing the main guard – Rati Andronikashvili, who was called in U20 team and had to travel to Tbilisi.
3 teams – Israel, Belarus and Georgia, who were gathered in Batumi, played 2-2 matches to one another, after which the winner was revealed. Israel defeated Georgia 2 times and won 1 match against Belarus, which brought them Black See Cup. Belarus took the second place with 2 victories and 2 defeats. Georgians, unfortunately, managed to win 1 out of 4 matches in Batumi.
Badri Nakashidze, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara and President of Adjara Basketball Federation Goderdzi Kordzadze awarded Israeli and Georgian teams after the last match.
The Georgian team continues to prepare for the “B” Division of European Championship, which will be held in the city of Oradea, Romania from July 26 to August 6.
