Serbia captured the FIBA U20 European Championship, Division B title in Tbilisi.

Even though other international FIBA tournaments,  has taken place in our capital before, U20 championship is the hugest and highest-ranking tournament among all previous ones. 

 European U20 Championship which is held by Georgian Basketball Federation in cooperation with FIBA and its recommendations is considered as main rehearsal before EuroBasket. Consequently the fact that FIBA has evaluated organization of event in high level and presented Georgian Basketball Federation with special award is specially noteworthy.  

After game awarding ceremony was held. 

Ms. Natalie Sandmann, FIBA event manager presented the organiser award to Mr. Giga Kartvelishvili, Head of the Local Organizing committee, FIBA Legal Commission President, General secretary of National Basketball Federation thanking them for the excellent organisation of the 2022 FIBA Under 20 European Championship for men Division B

  The 3rd place holder team is Estonia.  Bronze Medals were presented by Mr. Andreas Papadopoulos, Crew Chief Commissioner and Mr. Damir Kunosi FIBA Commissioner

The silver medal team for the 2022 FIBA Under 20 European Championship for men Division B is Iceland. Medals were presented by Mr. Paata Guraspauli, Chairman of the Board of the Georgian Basketball Federation and Mr. Christian Altmeyer, FIBA commissioner.

As for the Winner Serbians, The gold medals were awarded by Mr. Giga Kartelishvili and Engin Kennerman, FIBA Commissioner.

After special survey The All-Star Five of championship were revealed:

 Thorvaldur Arnason, Iceland

 Orri Gumnarrson, Iceland

 Bo Klintman, Sweden

 Mihailo Boskovic, Serbia

As for the Most Valuable Player of the 2022 FIBA Under 20 European Championship, Tornike Shengelia, Captain of Georgian National team awarded Serbian Mihailo Boskovic with special prize.
