Georgian U-20 team won all five matches in Riga and went through the European Youth League final

Another success of Georgian U-20 team. The team trained by Nikoloz Cherkezishvili finished the regular season in European Youth League on the first place and went through the finals, which will be hosted by Tbilisi on April 27-29.

We remind you, that Georgian U-20 team had 9 victories and 1 defeat after 2 rounds of European League and in the third circle they showed 100 percent result and retained the first place in the overall standings. The third circle was hosted by the capital of Latvia. Georgians held 5 matches in Riga and convincingly won all of them. We present the results of all the matches and the full statistics:

The Georgian national team played in Ventspils with the following membership:

Otar Pertaia, Davit Apkhazava, Davit Kuchava, Nika Metskhvarishvili, Nika Lolishvili, Giorgi Japaridze, Giorgi Korsantia, Lado Alavidze, Alexandre Pevadze, Nika Leonidze, Vakhtang Gaprindashvili, Giorgi Tsirekidze.

Tbilisi will host the European Youth League final on April 27-29. Following teams will visit Georgia: Polish “Vladislavvo”, Belarusian “Schmoki-Minsk” and Latvian “Walmaira”. All three teams have got 12 victories and 3 defeats and are placed behind the Georgian team in the standings. We remind you, that in the previous season Georgian U-20 team took part in the finals of the European League in Moscow and took the 3rd place. In Tbilisi, the team trained by Niko Cherkezishvili will be the main candidate to win the European Youth League.
