With the joint organization of the National Basketball Association (NBA), the American Embassy
in Georgia and the Georgian National Basketball Federation, with the support of the Ministry of
Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia, the Junior NBA League is being held in Georgia for the 7th
time. 136 teams have registered for the 2023 Junior NBA across the country, and about 2,000
basketball players under the age of 12 will compete in the tournament.
The Junior NBA league is held on a similar principle to the NBA. During the championship, each
participating team represents a member team of the National Basketball Association selected as
a result of a special draw, on whose behalf it will compete throughout the championship. As a
result of qualifying stages, there will be 90 teams and 1350 young basketball players
participatingin A, B and C leagues, who will receiveNBA team uniforms as gifts.
