Rustavi hosted Batumi today. The Adjarian team played very mobilized and didn’t give their opponents a chance to win. Batumi won the match 73:63, which means the second team of the leader’s trio has been defeated in the last two rounds.

The Adjarian team hosted Kutaisi in the previous round and won (79:60) without giving them any chances. Levan Tsekvava didn’t play today in Rustavi, he was disqualified for one match, which was a great loss, especially with the team’s traumatic background.

The Batumians gained the leadership from the very beginning – The Adjarian team won the first period 18:15, the score was 32:28 for a big break. Both teams were missing shoots, but especially – Rustavi. The main weapon of the hosts – long shoots were ineffective, finally they only used 6 chances from 28 attempts.

The guests strengthened their leadership even more in the third period, so they met the final quarter with 9-points lead – 52:43. There was a chance for Rustavi to tie the game in the 4th quarter, when they reduced the difference to 4 points 4 minutes before the final siren (59:64). But it turned out to be maximum of the hosts.

Adam Blazek was the most effective with 23 points in Rustavi. Brian Bernard scored 13 points and Tyrell Nelson was the only player who had double-double in this match – 10 points, 10 rebounds.
