Basketball Super League playoff has started. Dinamo and Olimpi took the start among the quarter-final pairs. The match didn’t come up to be tense. Current champions have won convincingly – 70:43. They have successfuly passed half of the road leading to the semifinals.
The team trained by Irakli Khoshtaria gained a full control over the game after a few time of fighting. Leonid Ivatin’s planned tactics did not work – Olimpians couldn’t manage to stop their rivals. After winning the first period 19:11, Dinamo was able to increase the advantage.
Dinamo was winning 42:23 for the big break. The third quarter was equal – 13:13, but Olimpi wasn’t able to tie the game. Finally, Dinamo won with 27-points difference. Lavell Boyd led the winners with 15 points. Ilia Londaridze and Giorgi Sharabidze scored 11-11 points each. Kiel Turpin had 8 points and 10 rebounds. Morris Hill was the most effective with 16 points in Olimpi. Revaz Rogava scored 14 points.
The next match will be held at Tbilisi Olympic Palace on May 7 at 16:00.

Unfortunately, we didn’t play effectively during the whole game, which is not enough to win such a game with a strong opponent. All the smallest details are important in the playoffs and the victory comes from these details. We will analyze the match, then try to play with more concentration and motivation.”
