The only undefeated team of the current championship, Dinamo Tbilisi, lost in Kutaisi today. The team trained by Irakli Khoshtaria lost with Kutaisi 79:80 in the last seconds. The confrontation of the last season’s finalists was very tense and interesting.
Dinamo participated in the FIFA European Cup this year and got a solid experience. They were Leading throughout the game, but the hosts fought till the last moment. The fate of the game was decided at the last minute. Two minutes before the end of the game Dinamo was winning – 76:71. But Kutaisi reduced the difference to 2 points after Beka Bekauri’s penalty and Akaki Dvalishvili’s two-point score. Giorgi Barbakadze scored three-point score 30 seconds before the end and Kutaisi advanced by 77:76. Then, Dinamo was able to get 2-point advantage again – 79:77. After decisive offense of Kutaisi, Dejuan Wright scored the ball of victory 3 seconds before the final siren – 80:79.
Akaki Dvalishvili led the hosts with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Dejuan Wright and Giorgi Barbakadze had 14-14 points each. Ilia Londaridze led Dinamo with 27 points and Lavel Boyd collected 17 points.
The following matches of Super League will be held on December 16th at the Tbilisi Olympic Palace.
