The 3×3 basketball championship named after the national hero of Georgia, Giorgi Antsukhelidze is finished with the victory of “Logistics Command”.
Deputy minister of defense, Grigol Giorgadze, Commander of Defense Forces, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, family members of national hero and Batumi Mayor Archil Chikovani, together with other high-ranking military officials attended the final of the tournament.
The Commander of defense forces handed over the transitional cup named after Giorgi Antshukhelidze to the winning team. Second and third place teams received silver and bronze medals.
Final round of the tournament was going for 2 days in Batumi and overall 22 teams of Georgian Defense Forces participated in it. Within the event, injured soldiers held friendly 3×3 game as well.
Tournament was founded by initiative of prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and was dedicated to Giorgi Antsukhelidze’s birthday, symbolically named after national hero. The 3×3 Basketball tournament is organized by the Georgian Defense Forces with the support of the National Basketball Federation and it place in every August.
