Fortunately Goga Bitadze’s injury was not serious. The Georgian center, who had to prematurely leave the match against Belgium due to a leg injury, underwent a medical examination today. The injury was recognized as minor and Bitadze will train with the Georgian national team today, but he will rest and wait for improvement of his condition. Team doctor Temur Khvedelidze and Goga Bitadze himself commented regarding his situation
“Of course, we do not exclude the chance of playing tomorrow, but we will see the dynamics of treatment. Today he was feeling better than yesterday. His ankle was swollen. My assistant Tornike Gogichaishvili, took him for an ultrasound.
The injury is not serious, but it is considered as moderate. Today, Goga was resting as planned, and of course, he will not train because of this condition. Goga will rest tomorrow morning as well, so the issue of his play will be decided in the afternoon.”
Goga Bitadze also spoke about the injury and noted that he will play even if there is a small chance: “It will be easier to talk about the chances of the game tomorrow, today it is a bit difficult for me to walk and move, but we will take care of the injury and if I am ready and there will be a small chance, I will definitely play.”
