The regions of Guria and Adjara in Georgia have received new and innovative basketball equipment, including advanced shooting training simulators. This delivery was made by the leadership of the National Basketball Federation of Georgia’s regional department as part of their ongoing basketball development project.
In line with tradition, representatives from the Federation regularly visit different regions of Georgia to supply essential basketball equipment. Over the past two years, they have visited every region at least twice, delivering items such as basketballs, modern scoreboards, backboards, uniforms, and special glasses designed to help young players improve their dribbling. Coaches also receive necessary tools like coaching boards, whistles, and various sports gear. This program is implemented in cooperation with the FIBA Youth Development Fund (YDF).
During their recent visit to the Guria and Adjara regions, Federation Vice-President Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Regional Development Department Head Shalva Oniani, and his deputy Aleko Petriashvili delivered the standard basketball equipment along with the innovative shooting simulators. These simulators, made in Turkey, are designed to help beginner basketball players learn proper shooting techniques and are also useful for adults looking to improve their skills.
In recognition of his years of cooperation and contributions to basketball development in Adjara, Vice-President Nikoloz Tskitishvili presented a certificate of gratitude to the President of the Adjara Regional Federation, Goderdzi Kordzadze, on behalf of Federation President Victor Sanikidze.
The next phase of the project includes another equipment delivery trip scheduled for July 16-17, targeting the Samegrelo and Zemo Svaneti regions.
