Rustavi wins over one of the leaders - TSU

There are 2 undefeated teams in the Super League  – Kutaisi and Rustavi. Imereti Club has 5 victories, Qvemo Qartli has postponed several matches due to some reasons and has gained 3/3 victories so far. Today, Rustavi trained by Anatoli Boisa had a serious test – TSU, who takes the first place in the Super League standings with 5 wins and 2 losses. The meeting was held with a solid advantage of Qvemo Qartli and ended with their deserved victory, however, TSU has traditionally fought to the end and, if they were a little lucky at the end, they would have recorded a significant sensation.

After the third quarter, Rustavi was winning by 20 points – 70:50 and everything seemed to be decided, however, TSU is a team that always fights to the end and with all its effort. TSU players annulled 5 points as soon as the game resumed and when they continued the successful game, a coach of Rustavi had to take a minute break. At the same time, Gegi Bakradze of Kvemo Kartli fouled out and TSU reduced the gap to 7 points 5 minutes before the final siren.

The team of Rustavi turned out to stand in front of a mess, the coach had no more minute-breaks and the team moved to an individual game. The reins were taken by American guards. Mike Davis was especially distinguished, who established the leadership of Rustavi with medium and long shots and brought his team to the victory.

Eventually, Qvemo Qartli won 92:85 (Statistics)  and are 4th in the standings with 4 wins out of 4 matches, however, with the lost points, they are leading the Super League just like Kutaisi. Mike Davis led the winners with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Jylan Washington collected 22 points and 14 rebounds. Giorgi Tvalabeishvili scored 14 points. Bryce Smith was the most effective with 24 points in TSU. Quentine Dove had 17 points and 16 rebounds. Brandon Sly collected 14 points.
