Mega started A League strongly

A League competition has started for Club Mega as well. The team coached by Guga Pataraia has postponed several matches due to covid-regulations and is now involved in the A League for the first time. So far, Mega participated in Mikheil Qorqia and Zurab Sakandelidze Memorial and in the Georgian Cup and left a pretty good impression as a fighter and a well-staffed team.

Zestaponi was the first opponent of Mega in A league, the former had lost to Orbi in the previous round. Pataraia’s team played 2 different sections. In the first one, they could not cope with the opponent, what more did Zestaponi want – they won the first period 20:15. However Mega conceded the second one by 1 point, and in the decisive period only Mega has been holding the reins of the match. The team coached by Pataraia, led by American legionnaires – Jermaine Marrow and Jalen Bradley – convincingly won the last period and with it – the match: 89:74.

Marrow led the winners with 30 points. Jalen Bradley scored 22 points and 5 assists. Beqa Chikviladze had 9 points. Donnell Cegers was the most effective with 22 points in Zestaponi. The next matches of A league will be held on March 2.
