After the dramatic stories in the series, it came to the 5th and decisive match, which was hosted by the main city of Imereti. After losing 1:2, Kutaisi players managed to equalize the score in the series and had a great chance to get their finals ticket in front of their fans. They were leading during the whole game and finally gained a deserved victory.
Rustavians fought until the end. The score was 65:79 in the middle of the 4th quarter, but Rustavi players managed to reduce the difference to 2 points – 77:79. But eventually, Giorgi Barbaqadze scored a three-pointer and 3 penalties. The score became 85:79 and the fate of the match was decided.
