Georgian national championship will start on November 10. This is the 28th championship which is called Super League since 2008.
The number of participants of the Super League has been changing in different years and this season will contain 10 teams – Dinamo, Olimpi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Rustavi, Mgzavrebi, Cactus, Delta, MIA Academy-Titebi and TSU-Hyundai.
Regular championship of the Super League 2018-2019 will be held in 2 rounds according to decision of the majority of teams.
The best 8 teams in regular championship will take part in playoffs and continue to fight for the title. While the team that took the 9th place will have a qualifying series until 3 victories with the team which took the second place in A league.
Team which takes the 10th place will leave the Super League and will be replaced by the winner of A League.
Super League has 2 debutants. TSU-Hyundai gained the right to play in the higher division by winning A League, and Titebi who took the second place in the A League, defeated the Super League team – Sokhumi in the qualifying round.
