Georgian U16 team finished competing at FIBA European Championship (“B” Division). Yesterday, Team coached by Irakli Cherkezishvili and Dimitri Jakobov faced Great Britain and lost game by 47:63 (statistics). Today our u 16-es played against Switzerland and were defeated by 84:71 (statistics)
In game against Great Britain, we should distinguish Nikoloz Abuladze among Georgians. Player of U16 team scored 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Nikoloz Gurgenidze contributed 8 points.
As for today’s game against Switzerland, Avtandil Bakhtadze was able to score 18 points and 8 rebounds. Nikoloz Gurgenidze contributed 14 points. Luka Mujirishvili collected 10 points and 6 assists.
We remind you that Championship was taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, and 22 countries participated. Georgian U16 team finished 12th and later today, Germany will face Finland in the final of the championship.
