Georgian U17 3x3 Team Is Traveling To Take Part In European Championship Qualification Round.
Georgian U17 3×3 team is traveling to take part in European Championship qualification round. Tournament will take place in Szolnok , Hungary and together with Georgia 11 other countries – Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden and Ukraine will participate.
In total there are 6 players in our team. 2 of them are substitutes and other 4 will compete on behalf of Georgia in Hungary. David Gasitashvili is head coach and Giga Gurgenidze, head of 3×3 department at Georgian Basketball Federation, is their manager.
4 main players of Georgian team are: Nikoloz Bostoganashvili, Luka Kokochashvili, Saba Narimanidze and Saba Saladze. As for Luka Zambakhidze and Saba Vachnadze, they will be substitutes for our players.
12 participant teams are divided into 4 groups. Georgia together with Estonia and Sweden will play in group “B”. 2 best teams from each pool will promote into next round of competition.
Georgia will face Estonia on August 6th, and Sweden on August 7th. Teams qualified from our group will meet participants of pool “D” where Lithuania, Latvia and Denmark are competing for Championship.
